Staff Services Analyst - Psychiatric Inpatient Program (PIP)
$41,376 - $67,248 Annual Range
T&D assignments will be considered.
This position is currently Limited Term 12 months and may be extended to 24 months or become permanent.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the Classification and Pay Analyst participates in analytical studies of organization, procedures, budgetary requirements, personnel management; gathers, tabulates, and analyzes data; prepares organization, workload, and other charts and reports.
Maintain the Program’s position roster and adhere to the Department of Finance rules and regulations governing the establishment of Civil Service positions. Prepare necessary documentation to establish, abolish, and reclassify positions, as well as encumber monies for various blankets. Project blanket expenditures and prepare management reports as required. Prepare monthly vacancy report, hire and separation report, and Personnel Services budgetary and overtime expenditures report. Prepare the annual Schedule 8 and Section 41 reports and reconcile the Program’s established positions to those identified by Department of Finance. Participates and provides essential input concerning Personnel Services issues in meetings.
Reviews individual positions whenever a classification issue is raised regarding the level of duties being performed. Reviews and approves Out-of-Class packages, and maintains a tracking system to ensure compliance with CalHR guidelines governing Out-of-Class procedures. Conducts surveys to maintain the integrity the various pay programs (e.g., Bilingual Pay, Inmate Worker Supervision Pay) as needed.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued an Order on August 19, 2021 which requires workers working in a healthcare setting at all local and state correctional facilities and detention centers be vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, all workers identified under the CDPH Order are required to either be vaccinated or submit a medical or religious accommodation. While working through either of these interactive processes, staff shall wear an N95 mask and test twice-weekly (with at least 72 hours between each test) until they comply with the August 19, 2021 CDPH Order.
