Under general direction of the Research Data Manager of the EHRS Documentation and Decision Support Unit, the Research Data Specialist (RDS) I supports the day-to-day clinical management of the Integrated Substance-use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT) Program, and other related complex patient populations by independently developing, building, testing, and implementing front-end decision-support and documentation methods in EHRS using selected Cerner Millennium Tier I,II, and III software packages, Structured Querying Language (SQL) and Cerner Command Language (CCL) to ensure providers have effective, patient-centered tools to support communication, timeliness, and efficiency at the point-of-care. The RDS I engages with Information Technology (IT) and clinical staff to evaluate the adequacy of existing Cerner tools; and develops procedures for the movement and integration of clinical information within EHRS to ensure clinical staff have required information to support their decision-making at the point of care. The RDS I will serve in a leading role for routine to intermediate complex projects and will develop and manage a project work plan as well as ensure the completion of projects under critical timelines to meet project objectives and deadlines.
